To The Global Beat - World drums
I had always been an aficionado of classical music. Some might say that my tastes were somewhat stuffy. However, on a trip to Brazil some years ago I discovered the global beat that is World Drums. Technically, I suppose, it’s a sub-category of global music but nothing had prepared me for the wondrous, rhythmic beat of this genre. I commend these percussive tastes to you.Especially the Remo djembe drum. Obviously, I still do listen to many of my old classical records on the record player but these days I have an equally large collection of CD’s relating to this global music and I love them all as much as my old records. Now I’m just as excited to discover new types of music that I haven’t heard before.
